The film focuses on Tyler James, a rebellious twelve-year-old, who along with his friends discovers a clue to a secret treasure buried somewhere in the red clays of rural Georgia – the famed lost gold of the Confederacy, a legend that has fascinated us since the days of the Civil War. But such a bounty is not without its suitors, and Tyler finds himself embroiled in a tangled web of intrigue as he and his friends struggle to put the recovered pieces of the puzzle together while dodging the advances of the Chicago crooks on their heels. Could it be that his best ally is the ghost of a Civil War officer?
Much like other adventures that captured the imagination of wide audiences, Treasure of the Four Lions incorporates elements that made films such as The Goonies, Stand by Me, and Raiders of the Lost Ark smash box office hits.

During an intense nighttime skirmish between U.S. and North Vietnamese forces, buddies Shane and Matt tumble into a bomb crater moments after a barrage of bullets assail them. Shane escapes serious injury but Matt is hit and rapidly losing blood from a gunshot to the leg. Unable to pull Matt to safety, Shane makes a decision — to save his friend, he must leave him alone and run for help. Now by himself, Matt confronts his own mortality and when an explosion leaves him deaf, he cannot hear the radio blaring Shane’s return with reinforcements. As enemies and friends approach Matt’s position, who will Matt kill with his last bullet?
